Lakers fans were no doubt disappointed by Sunday's playoff-ending loss to the Mavericks, but thanks to funnyman Will Ferrell and his two-time co-star John C. Riley, at least half of them had something to smile about.
The actor jokes with Chelsea about his recent Kiss Cam experience with actor John C. Reilly and kicking his brother out of his house.
During a Monday night stop on “Chelsea Lately,” Ferrell explained the “Kiss Cam” moment that saved the day.
“Just a typical Laker game for me,” Ferrell deadpanned when faced with the footage of himself smooching pal Reilly on the arena's screen. “They started doing the Kiss Cam thing … and John said, ‘If the camera gets on us, why don’t we take a bite of our sandwiches and then kiss.’ And I didn’t even bat an eye. I said, ‘OK. Bite of the sandwich first, then kiss? Got it.’ Then sure enough, we’re on.”
The crowd’s reaction?
“Half the crowd erupted in joy, and the other half vomited.”
